I just followed the directions on an air force website and it works as advertised.

If you have someone to help you scan your slides, having a couple of extra trays makes things go much faster. The Wolverine scanner we bought only came with one slide tray. With more than one available, someone can load and unload trays while you scan the images, making the process go about twice as fast.

If you are scanning more than a few slides, extra trays are a must in my opinion.

I had a failure twice in a row of YHi Power Adaptor/adapter (YHi 898-1015-U12 12V 1250mA 10mm 4-pin for HP ScanJet 5470C Scanner). Before the failure, both the adapters were overheating and causing an interference in my whole home electric power line (network) resulting in a loud cracking noise heard in the phone and radio. So, I bought 12V+5V AC Adapter for $3, grabbed a soldering iron, and in 10 minutes detached the unique cord from YHi and soldered it to the new adapter. The yellow wire was plus (+) and the other black two were ground.

I put the roller kit into a Canon DR 2580C scanner that I just purchased used on Craigslist for $100. The scanner occasionally misfed 2 sheets instead of 1 sheet. The kit was easy to install, and completely fixed the misfeeding problem. No tools required. I don't know why it's called "exchange kit" because there were no instructions for sending back the old rollers.

I ordered these to replace the one that came with the scanner (which I love, love, love). The carrier sheet gets worn and eventually develops shaded tracks from the rollers. I used mine for almost two years -- not too bad. Looking forward to lots of fast and easy scanning.

I had problems in the beginning. Some I charge to Epson, but I charge the others to me.

At the present, I have worked out most problems and it is very useful and I scanned over 1,000 4x6 photos over the week end. I do
think I would bye the scanner and ADF as one unit next time. But overall, I love the job it is doing for me as I have over 5,000
4x6 photos to go

I would add that Amazon has been very helpful with my problems, directing me to the proper help.

We have a Fujitsu fi-4120c sheet feed scanner. It's 6 or 7 years old and we were having some problems with the paper feeding correctly. Replaced the pick roll and pad assembly contained in the kit and all is now well.

FYI, the kit contains a pick roll, 2 pad assemblies, a bottle of cleaning solution, 100 swabs, cleaning paper and some cloth wipes.

It's more economical to buy this kit rather than purchasing those items separately.

I purchased this pen for my dyslexic daughter in third grade. The device would be an excellent idea if it were more accurate and worked at a reasonable rate. The pen must be held at a certain angle, which my daughter seemed to do ok with. But the number of errors and lag time were extremely frustrating for both of us. I would definitely wait for there to be improvements to this device before buying it.

Some might find it useful to scan individual words or short phrases when stuck and/or use the dictionary if the definition provided is actually less confusing than the word. We found it too cumbersome to even use for reading directions, though. She could read the words quicker at 50 wpm than the pen process took to scan and read.

I bought the Uniden USB-1 programming cable to complement my Uniden BCD-396XT digital trunktracker scanner. It did not come with a driver, so I searched the 'net for an appropriate driver, loaded it, and after that, and also after installing appropriate software (I chose Freescan), I installed it without any problems whatsoever (Freescan even auto-searches for an open COM port).

Does it work? Yes indeed; the cable itself is sturdy, well engineered, and seems to be immune to inferference from the computer. With this cable hooked in to my scanner, I can not only program it whenever I want, but can also control the scanner through it! What an incredible luxury to do that, in a stationary or mobile environment (autologging when traveling is an incredible tool).

Sure, you can cobble together your own cable from bits and pieces, but I think this cable was money well spent; YMMV of course .

American Electronics Mart sold me a "refurbished" Xerox documate 510 scanner that did not work from the start. I spent two weeks trying to troubleshoot to find out whether the problem was on my end. Then, because I missed the return deadline, they would not take the scanner back. They would not agree to pay the costs to me to ship the scanner back to them. Now, I have wasted $250 on a worthless piece of junk sold to me by these crooks. Don't ever buy anything from these creeps.

Writing pad can use to learn Chinese character. Good tool for learner. This software shows every stroke and practice with writing pad. We can adjust speed of writing character and follow it. Not only imitate how to write but also recognize what you write. More important, this writing pad also can use in other software such as word and MSN. We use that to input Chinese character. The only thing I have to complain is we cannot input pce file to ms-word.
